The Story Wagon

Inspired by some of the many literary events our beautiful bowtop wagons have participated in and our involvement with the Bluebell Arts Project in Northern Ireland, we now bring that inspiration to schools across the South West.

The Story Wagon is a travelling workshop which can be hired and brought to your school playground or carpark where  children can be entertained and inspired throughout that time with stories, poetry, drawings, in fact anything you wish. Kids and grown ups alike can’t fail to be inspired by the magical surroundings of a gypsy caravan to really help get the creative juices flowing.

The Story Wagon was hired for The Exploration Society’s Dream Snatcher weekend, where author Abi Elphinstone read to a host of children who had all read The Dream Snatcher and they took part in activities that related to the book.

I was lucky enough to spend a weekend running reading and writing activities for children in Juliet’s beautiful bowtop wagons. They provided a hugely inspirational and atmospheric setting to our sessions and the children went away buzzing with ideas for stories.’
